I lived in California in 2004 (actually before I decided to focus on being a botanical artist) and some of these are the plants that captivated me during that year. I use the irises when I teach art lessons because they are easy to obtain from the grocery store and consistently similar from week to week.

All paintings are watercolor on Arches 140 lb hot press paper unless otherwise noted. Giclées are certified limited editions of 100 printed on archival watercolor paper in acid free presentation packages which include a mat, backing board and certificate in a clear envelope. NFS paintings will be available after publication in 2008.
