      Aromatherapy Defined

Aromatherapy is the practice of using pure essential oils—the highly concentrated extracts from plants herbs and flowers—in skin and health care.

Aromatic oils in their concentrated form have a multifaceted make-up. An essential oil can cover a wide field of activities in the body be it mental, physical, emotional or spiritual. The same oil can stimulate certain systems of the body while sedating or relaxing others.  When inhaled, a true essential oil travels to the olfactory bulb (nose) and is then transmitted to the limbic system.  When used in a bath or through massage the oils are not only inhaled but are effective due to their unique molecular structure and its ability to penetrate the skin.   

The following bath and body products are made with nourishing oils for your skin, pure essential oils, and organic products without the use of synthetic chemicals or alcohol. When needed I include the Latin name for identification purposes because plants of one botanical species can produce essential oils of distinctly different compositions.
